|17 County Men Leave for Service in Army|
|Seventeen Eau Claire County men left on the
"400" Friday afternoon for the Army Reception Center at Fort
Sheridan to begin service for Uncle Sam.
Thirteen from the city of Eau Claire assembled at Headquarters of Draft Board No. 1 in the Post Office Building, and four from communities outside the city assembled at Headquarters of Board No. 2 at the Court House Annex. Gifts were presented each man by the Women's Auxiliary of the USO Canteen.
