TO PENSACOLA
Naval Aviation Cadet Kenneth J. Anderson, 19, son of Ole Anderson, 711 Babcock Street, has been transferred to the U.S. Naval Air Station, Pensacola, FL, after successful completion of the primary flight training course at Ottumwa, Iowa.

Eau Claire Youth Now Aviation Cadet
Kenneth J. Anderson, 19, son of Ole Anderson, 711 Babcock Street, was recently appointed a Naval Aviation Cadet and was transferred to the Naval Air Training Center, Pensacola, FL for intermediate flight training.

Upon completion of the intensive course at the "Annapolis of the Air," Cadet Anderson will receive his Navy "Wings of Gold" with the designation of Naval Aviator and will be commissioned an Ensign in the Naval Reserve or a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps Reserve.


ENSIGN K. J. ANDERSON
Ensign Kenneth J. Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Anderson, 711 Babcock Street, received his commission on June 23, 1944 and is now serving as a fighter pilot somewhere in the Pacific.

Ensign Anderson graduated from the Eau Claire Senior High School in 1941 and had one year at state teachers college.

He enlisted in the United States Naval Reserve in October 1942 and was called into service in February 1943, received his training at Northfield, Albert Lea, MN; Iowa City, Ottumwa, Iowa; Pensacola and Jacksonville, FL.

After a 21-day leave home in September 1944, he reported to Oxnard and San Diego, CA. 

He arrived in Hawaii in November and is now serving on an aircraft carrier somewhere in the Pacific.
