Robert O. Anderson

Private Robert O. Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Anderson of Seymour recently arrived in the Philippines and is serving with the infantry division of the armed forces

He entered the service July 27, 1944, and has received training at Fort Sheridan, IL, Camp Roberts, CA, and Fort Ord, CA 

Private Anderson attended the Fall Creek high school and the Eau Claire high school before entering service. His sister, Corporal Carol M Anderson of the WAC's is flight control operator and is stationed at Walker's Field, KN. Both were home on furlough during the Christmas holidays

Robert Anderson Receives Wounds in Philippines
Private First Class Robert O. Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Anderson of the town of Seymour, was wounded in action in the Philippines on April 16, according to word received from the War Department. His parents later received a letter from him, dated April 20, telling them not to worry, that he was in a general base hospital and, although his injuries on arms, legs, and back were painful, he was resting easily and recovering.

Private First Class Anderson arrived in the Philippines last February with the 248th Infantry Division.
