Dale T. Atteridge

Back on Active Duty in Pacific
Private First Class Dale T. Atteridge, Eau Claire, has been released from a New Guinea hospital, where he spent 42 days recuperating from a tropical skin disease and has returned to active duty, according to his sister, Mrs. Winifred Ward, 500 Second Street.

His wife and one-and-one-half-year-old daughter he has never seen, Romona Marie, reside at his mother's home here.

He sent pictures taken in front of the squad's tent in New Guinea.

Private First Class Atteridge took part in the campaigns of Guadalcanal, Solomons, Bougainville, and New Caledonia, and then went to a rest camp in New Zealand, before going to New Guinea.
