Earl Balow

CPL. EARL BALOW
Corporal Earl Balow, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Balow, 642 Eleventh Street, has arrived safely in England, according to word received by his parents. 

He entered the service on January  21, 1943 and received training at Camp Davis, Fort Fisher, Camp Butner, NC; Nashville, TN; Richmond, VA; and Camp Edwards, MA. 

He is connected with the Coast Artillery Anti-Aircraft Division.


Clarence E. Balow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Balow, 642 North Eleventh Street, has been promoted to First Lieutenant from Second Lieutenant at Ober-Gunzberg, Germany.

Lieutenant Balow entered the service in 1940 and, after 27 months service in the Canal Zone, returned to the United States for officer training.  He has been in Europe for 11 months. 

Two brothers are in the service. Corporal Earl Balow is connected with the Anti-Aircraft Service in France and Private Norman Balow is in the Air Corps at Sheppard Field, Texas.
