James L. Barnhardt, Aviation Radioman Second Class, son of Mr. and Mrs. Barnhardt, 703 Ferry Street, has arrived in the South Pacific and is now based in the Hawaiian Islands.
He entered the service January 5, 1942 and went overseas in August 1944. His training was received at Great Lakes Naval Training Station (basic), Corpus Christi, Texas and Kingsville, Texas (aviation gunnery and a course in aviation radio training).
A graduate of the Eau Claire Senior High School Class of 1940, Barnhardt was stationed at Shoemaker, CA and Treasure Island, CA before going to sea.
