Howard R. Beckwith

SGT. HOWARD R. BECKWITH
Sergeant Howard R. Beckwith is now stationed with his Infantry division at Fort Benning, GA, after having been in Newfoundland since 1942. 

He entered the service in 1934 and was stationed at Fort Snelling, MN, for the entire period of service, until leaving for overseas.

Sergeant Howard R. Beckwith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Beckwith, Route 6, Menomonie, is now serving somewhere in Germany, according to word received by his parents.

His brother-in-law, Private First Class Aurelian J. Sass, is serving in Belgium. 

His wife and baby are making their home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Beckwith.

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Beckwith, Menomonie, Route 6, have been notified by the War Department that their son, Sergeant Howard R. Beckwith, was wounded in action in Germany.

He was awarded the Purple Heart and this medal has been received by his parents.
