Erwin Berg

Ervin Berg Jr., son of Mrs. Mildred Berg, 771 Grand Avenue East, with the U. S. Signal Corps somewhere in India, has been promoted from Fourth Technician to Staff Sergeant, according to work received here. Sergeant Berg enlisted December 30, 1942 and was stationed at the Savannah Army Air Base for some time.

Mrs. Marlys Spaulding, daughter of Mrs. Inga B. Spaulding, and Technical Sergeant Ervin Berg, Jr., son of Mrs. Mildred Berg, all of this city, were married at 11 o'clock Tuesday, March 27, at the Methodist Church. The Reverend Henry Friedman read the double-ring service.

The bride wore a three-piece dusty rose suit with brown accessories and a corsage of twin orchids and carried an heirloom petit point bag. She was attended by Mrs. Eugene Shepler, sister of the groom, who wore a hyacinth blue suit with black accessories and a corsage of camellias. The groom was attended by his brother-in-law, Eugene Shepler. 

The wedding breakfast was served at the Hotel Eau Claire. The bride is employed in the U.S. Treasury Department in Chicago and the groom recently returned from three years in Foreign Service with the Signal Corps in the Burma-India Theater of War. 

Following a brief honeymoon spent in Minneapolis and Chicago, Mrs. Berg will return to her position with the Treasury Department and Technical Sergent Berg will return to Miami, FL for reassignment.
