Lyman S. Betz

Corporal William Betz has arrived overseas, according to a cablegram received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Betz, Route 1, Eau Claire.

Corporal Betz enlisted in the Air Corps in June 1942 and was stationed in the Induction Center at Milwaukee. He was later transferred for training with a bomb squadron to the Myrtle Beach Bomb Range, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Godman Field, Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Corporal Betz has two brothers also in the Armed Services. First Lieutenant Frank E. Betz is at present stationed in England, after having served in the North African and Sicilian campaigns. Corporal Lyman S. Betz, a younger brother in the Army Air Corps, is also in England. Recently, word was received that the latter two brothers had a brief reunion in London.

Lyman Betz, now stationed in England, has been promoted to Sergeant, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Betz.

Lyman S. Betz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Betz, Eau Claire, Route 1, has been promoted from Corporal to Sergeant. He is serving in England with the Eighth Air Force Service Command.
