Albin Borton

PVT. ALBIN BORTON
Private Albin Borton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Borton, 609 Erin Street, has arrived in England. 

He entered the service in August 1942 and received his training with the Infantry at Camp Barkeley, Texas and the California desert. 

He has three brothers serving overseas: Private First Class Irvin Borton, in England; Staff Sergeant Einer Borton, in Iran; and Sergeant Barney Borton, in Italy.


Sergeant Barney Borton arrived home Friday from Italy on a furlough of 21 days plus travel time. He is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Borton, 609 Erin Street. Sergeant Borton, in the Air Corps, has been overseas for the past 21 months. He took part in the invasion of North Africa. For the past six months, he has been in Italy. 

He entered the Armed Services on March 20, 1942. His three brothers are serving overseas at present, Irvin and Albin somewhere in England, and Staff Sergeant Borton in Iran.


Wounded in Action in France

Private Albin Borton was wounded in France on July 24, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Borton, 609 Erin Street.

An Infantryman, Private Borton entered the service in August 1942.
