Receives Purple Heart for Wounds

PVT. ARLIE BOSHER
Private Arlie Bosher has arrived in France, according to word received by his wife, Mrs. Iola Bosher, 803 Chauncey Street. 

He entered the Army on July 27, 1944 and received 17 weeks basic training at Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Little Rock, AR. After spending a 12-day leave at home, he left the United States on January 2. On February 14, word was received from the War Department that he had been wounded in action on January 30, was then in a hospital in France, and had received the Purple Heart decoration.

Private Bosher is the son of Mrs. Robert Tracy, 808 Chauncey Street.


Wounded Second Time in Europe

Private First Class Arlie Bosher has been wounded for the second time on April 16, according to word received by his wife, Mrs. Iola Bosher, 808 Chauncey Street.

He had previously been awarded the Purple Heart decoration for wounds received in France on January 30.
