Donald H. Brinkman

Dr. D. H. Brinkman, who was commissioned a Lieutenant, Junior Grade in the United States Navy Reserve in December 1942, has been called to active duty. He reported Thursday at Great Lakes Naval Training Station. 

Dr. Brinkman, a native of Chippewa Falls, was graduated from Marquette University in 1936 and practiced dentistry in Eau Claire for the past six and one-half years. His office was in the Union National Bank Building. 

Active in civic affairs, Dr. Brink man was secretary of the YMCA board of directors, chairman of the membership committee of the Kiwanis Club, a member of the board of the Family Service Association, president of the leaders of the YMCA Boys' Clubs, and treasurer of  the Eau Claire Winter Sports Club.

Lieutenant Donald H. Brinkman, United States Naval Reserve, has arrived safely in Honolulu, Hawaii, according to word received by his sister-in-law here. He is serving at the Marine Air Base at Pearl Harbor. 

Mrs. Brinkman is now residing at San Francisco where Lieutenant Brinkman had reported for duty on December 23.  He arrived at Pearl Harbor on January 7. 

Lieutenant Brinkman, a graduate of the Marquette University Dentistry School, practiced dentistry here, until he received his commission as a Lieutenant (junior grade) in the Navy and left for active duty last May. He was stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Training Base, Great Lakes, IL for eight months.
