Clarence Brougham

GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL
Private First Class Clarence Brougham, "D" Company, 321st Infantry, Camp San Luis Obispo, CA, has been awarded the Army's Good Conduct Medal for exemplary behavior, efficiency, and fidelity, while serving in the Army of the United States.

PFC. CLARENCE BROUGHAM
Private First Class Clarence Brougham, son of Guy Brougham, Route 4, Mondovi, has arrived in the South Pacific, according to word received here. He entered the service July 1942.

Private First Class Brougham received his training at Camp Rucker, AL; Camp Horn, Camp San Luis Obispo, and Camp Beale, CA.

He is with the 81st Infantry Wildcat Division.


INFANTRYMAN BADGE
Private First Class Clarence Brougham, Eau Claire, son of Guy Brougham, Mondovi, a member of the 81st "Wildcat" Infantry Division, which recently invaded the southern islands of the Japanese-held Palau group, 500 miles east of the Philippines, has been awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge for exemplary conduct and skill in action against the enemy.

GETS PURPLE HEART
Private First Class Clarence Brougham, son of Guy Brougham, Mondovi, has been awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in action against the Japanese on the island of Peleliu. He is a member of the 81st "Wildcat" Infantry Division.
