Charles R. Burgess

Private First Class Charles Burgess has returned to Buckley Field, CO, where he will resume his training at the air field, soon training for an Aviation Cadet. He spent a 15-day furlough with his wife and parents while in the city. He recently returned from Alaska, where he served one year in the Army, returning to the States the first part of November.

Private Charles R. Burgess left for Camp Haan, CA to report for training as an Aviation Cadet. He spent 18 days with his wife, the former Lois Harstad of this city, and his parents. Private Burgess just recently returned to the States from overseas duty. He entered the service in October 1942 and received his training at Camp Robinson, AR and Fort Lawton, WA. He left the States in January of this year and was stationed at Fort Richardson, Alaska for 10 months.

Corporal Charles R. Burgess, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Burgess, 618 Sixth Avenue, has been promoted to Sergeant at the Field Artillery School, Fort Sill, OK, where he is a member of the Fifth Battalion.
