Kenneth Burkart

Brothers in Army Meet in England
Mrs. Earl Heimstadt, Route 5, city, has received word that her brothers, Private First Class Kenneth Burkart and Corporal Elmer Burkart, met in England.

Corporal E. Burkart entered service in May 1942 and received his training at Fort Francis E. Warren, WY; Normoyle Motor Base, San Antonio, TX; and Camp McCoy, WI. He went overseas in May of this year. He is in the Medical Corps.

Private First Class Kenneth Burkart entered service in September 1941 from Waukesha, WI and served two years in the 126th Coast Artillery in the Aleutian Islands. He was then sent to Texas and transferred to the Infantry. After seven months, he went overseas to Switzerland; then to England, where he met his brother, Elmer. Another brother, Leo, is serving with the United States Navy in Florida.

They are the sons of Fredrick Burkart of Eau Claire.
