WAC Recruits Leave for Training 

Seven young women left Eau Claire Monday en route to WAC Training Center at Fort Des Moines, IA, where they will begin their basic training. Pictured above are (right to left) Sergeant Henrietta Bush of the WAC Recruiting Office in Eau Claire, Rosemarie Young, Nora Anderson, Marie Speros, Charlotte Leavesseur, Jane Charland, and Corporal Geraldine Van Pelt. In the group, not in the picture, are Elizabeth Styer and Norma Kurth. Marie Speros is from Eau Claire, Elizabeth Styer from Menomonie, and the other girls are from Chippewa Falls. All have enlisted in the Army Air Forces and will be assigned to air bases upon completion of their training.

Sergeant Henrietta Bush has returned to the WAC Headquarters here after a furlough spent at the home of her mother, Mrs. Kate Schuster, in Graham, Texas.

Sergeant Henrietta Bush, of WAC Recruiting Office in the Union National Bank Building, has been promoted to Staff Sergeant.
