Officer Praises Communications System Soldier
Staff Sergeant Randall L. Christeson, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Christeson, 534 Cameron Street, who entered the service on November 21, 1942, was rated by his immediate superior as an excellent member of his outfit, according to a letter received by his mother January 22.

The letter is as follows:

"Your son, Randall, has just completed 13 months of duty overseas. In this organization, which is composed largely of outstanding men, Randy has succeeded nevertheless in making himself well-known for his intelligence and ability. It is for these qualities, as well as for his likeable personality, that his immediate supervisor has rated him as one of the excellent members of the outfit.

"As Commanding Officer of the Army Airways Communications System Group, I am proud of Randy, and I am confident that he will continue to do his work well until the war is over. When that time comes, he will be able to say truthfully that he made a real contribution toward it."
