|Private Dale R. Clark, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale R. Clark, 826 Market Street, who is stationed at 33rd Ferrying Group Base of the Air Transport Command at Fairfax Field, KS, has been awarded the Good Conduct Medal for having honorably served one year of active federal military service with exemplary behavior, efficiency, and fidelity, while the United States is as war.|
Wayne G. Clark, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Clark, 826 Market Street, was promoted from Lieutenant, Junior Grade to Lieutenant in the United States Naval Reserve, while on duty as Purchasing Officer at the Naval Air Station, Alameda, CA.
After receiving his Navy commission, Lieutenant Clark took special work at Babson Institute, Babson Park, MA, after which he was attached in a temporary duty status to the supply base at Casco Bay, ME and aboard the aircraft carrier Ranger. His wife and their three sons make their home in Oakland, CA.
Lieutenant Clark was formerly associated with the Hale-Haas Corporation and, later, with the U.S. Rubber Company.
Two brothers are in the service, Major Earl L. B. Clark in the Southwest Pacific and Dale R. Clark, attached to the Army Air Forces in Kansas City. Another brother, Glen, recently received a medical discharge from the Seabees, after serving in the Southwest Pacific.
