|S/SGT. ROY DANKLEFSEN
Two brothers, Staff Sergeant Roy E. Danklefsen and Ensign Ray C. Danklefsen, both now overseas, stand little chance of seeing each other for the duration, for the one is Ammunition Sergeant in an armored division in France and the other, an officer on an LSM.
Staff Sergeant Danklefsen is the foster son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Lynch of Menomonie. He entered the service on October 12, 1942 and was trained at Camp Campbell, TN and Camp Barkeley, TX. He embarked for overseas duty in September 1944. His wife, Loyola, and son, Wayne, reside with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kingsley, Menomonie.
Ensign Danklefsen started his Naval Reserve training in Helena, MT and was commissioned from Columbia University, NY. He received further training as an officer at Raleigh, NC and Norfolk, VA. Mrs. Danklefsen lives at Lovina, Montana.
Both brothers were teachers before entering service.
