England, according to word received by his mother. He is a tail gunner
on a bomber.
He enlisted in the Air Corps on June 15, 1941 and entered the service on July 15, 1941. He received his training at Camp Grant, IL; Greensboro, NC; Lyndall Field, FL, where he was awarded his wings; Key Field, MS; Lowry Field, Denver, CO; Gowen Field, ID; Wendover Field, UT; Herington, KS.
He has a sister, Mrs. John Campbell, residing in Eau Claire. His brother, Perry Davis is in the U.S. Navy.
D. L. Davis, USN, serving somewhere in the South Pacific, has been promoted to Seaman First Class, according to word received by his wife, Hazel, who lives at 1207 Barron Street.
His father, Perry Davis, Carpenter's Mate Second Class, is serving somewhere in New Guinea.
