|AWARDED BRONZE STAR
Staff Sergeant Lester A. Dickens, whose wife resides at 416 Wisconsin Street, and whose mother, Mrs. Wm. Olson, lives at Menomonie, has been awarded the Bronze Star for gallantry in action against the enemy in France between June 19 and June 21, 1944, while serving as point leader of a patrol. He was wounded July 7 and returned to this country and is now stationed at a hospital at Galesburg, IL.
