LT. SIDNEY ELLINGSTAD
Lieutenant Sidney Arnold Ellingstad, a navigator in the Royal Canadian Air Force, has been liberated from Stalag Luft 3 and has been in the United Kingdom since May 26, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.O. Ellingstad, 1331 Snelling Street.

Lieutenant Ellingstad enlisted in the Canadian Air Force on October 1, 1941. After receiving further training in Canada, in November 1942, he went overseas. He was shot down and interned in Stalag Luft 3 in August 1943. He was later transferred to Stalag Luft 3A.

His wife and son reside at Hixton.
