Win Silver Wings in Army Air Corps
Albert H. Pritchard, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Pritchard, Route 5, Eau Claire, and Roger T. O'Brien were commissioned Second Lieutenants in the Army Air Corps, and Robert J. Farley, 112 John Street, Chippewa Falls, was appointed Flight Officer in the Army Air Corps in graduation exercises held August 4 at the Lubbock, Texas Army Air Field. They were awarded silver pilot's wings 

Lieutenant Pritchard entered the service on May 26, 1943 and received his college detachment training at Fenn College, Cleveland, Ohio. He received classification and pre-flight training at San Antonio, Texas, followed by primary training at Pine Bluff, AR. At Independence, KS, he received basic training and was commissioned, after completing advanced training at Lubbock Field. 

He will report to Randolph Field August 20 and will attend Central Instructor's School there.
