|Private Margaret M. Fleming of Frederic has been visiting
friends in Eau Claire, before returning to her base on the eastern
seaboard, where she is awaiting shipment overseas.
Miss Fleming, a graduate of Whitewater State Teachers College, was a commercial teacher in the Eau Claire High School, before leaving for her basic training at Fort Devens, MA and Daytona Beach, FL. She also taught in the vocational school in Eau Claire.
Private Fleming was formerly a Sergeant at Camp Blanding, FL but gave up her rating for a chance for overseas duty. She has two brothers who are Army Aviation Cadets, Robert Fleming in Clemenson, GA and Lawrence, in training in Walnut Ridge, AR.

|Private Margaret Fleming and Private Agnes L. Spangberg
have arrived in Naples on their way to an undisclosed destination.
Private Fleming was a mathematics teacher at the Eau Claire Senior High School and the vocational school, before enlisting in the WAC.
Private Spangberg was employed at the Social Security Board Headquarters here. Both WACs gave up sergeant ratings to receive overseas assignments.
According to the Sergeant Henryetta Bush of the local recruiting office, the WACs who give up ratings to go overseas will receive the identical rating of the man she replaces as she is assigned to her job.
