Three at Great Lakes for Boot Training
Their recruit training consists
of instruction in seamanship, military drill, and general Naval procedure.
During this period, a series of aptitude tests will be taken by the recruits to
determine whether they will be assigned to a Naval service school, to a shore
station, or to immediate duty at sea.
When their recruit training is
completed, these men will receive a period of leave. They are Thomas A.
Fletty, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Fletty, Clairemont Avenue; George J.
Mikesell, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Mikesell, 417 Marston Court; and
Victor W. Robertson, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. V. T. Robertson, 604 Fourth Street.
