Edward Fotland

Home on Leave After Action in Pacific Theater
Edward Fotland, Boatswain's Mate, Second Class, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall C. Fotland, 513 Fifth Street, is home on a 30-day leave, after nearly two years of action in the Pacific.

Serving on a battleship, Fotland engaged in five major battles, including the Gilbert and Marshall Islands. For about 10 months, his ship was in Alaskan waters.

Edward has a brother, Glen, in the Navy, a hospital apprentice, now serving in the Pacific Theaters.
