George F. Garnett

Lt. Garnett Back from Pacific Duty
Lieutenant (junior grade) George F. Garnett, United States Navy, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Garnett, 825 Water Street, is spending a 29-day leave with his parents, after serving on a transport in the Southwest Pacific. He took part in the landings on Kwajalein, Eniwetok, Saipan, Guam, Leyte, Luzon, and Okinawa.

A graduate of St. Patrick's High School and St. Thomas College in St. Paul, Lieutenant Garnett entered service in November 1942. He received his officer training at the Midshipman's School at Columbia University in New York.
