Raymond E. Garton

PVT. RAYMOND GARTON
Private Raymond E. Garton, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Garton, 305 Galloway Street, was wounded in action in Italy on May 24, according to a telegram from the War Department.

He has been awarded the Purple Heart and the medal was received by his parents, Tuesday.

Private Garton has been in Italy nine months with the Fifth Army. He entered the service on March 23, 1943.
