Theodore H. Gilchrist

Private and Mrs. Theodore Gilchrist, 141 Pitt Street, are parents of a daughter, born February 17, at Sacred Heart Hospital.

T. H. Gilchrist, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Gilchrist, has returned to Camp Pickett, VA, after spending a 12-day furlough visiting his wife and baby at 1012 First Avenue.

Private Theodore Gilchrist, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Gilchrist, 1802 Bellevue Avenue, has arrived in England, according to a cablegram received by his wife, who resides at 141 Pitt Street.

Private Gilchrist entered the service in August 1942 and received his training at Fort McClellan, AL; Camp Butner, NC; Fort Meade, MD; and Camp Kilmer, NJ.

Private Gilchrist is in the Infantry.


Wounded Fighting Inside Germany
PVT. T. H. GILCHRIST
Private T. H. Gilchrist was reported wounded in action in Germany on September 14, in a telegram received from the War Department by his wife, the former Miss Katherine Gilboy, 141 Pitt Street.

Private Gilchrist entered the service in August 1942 and received his training at Fort McClellan, AL; Camp Butner, NC; Fort Meade, MD; and Camp Kilmer, NJ.

He arrived overseas with an Infantry division about June 29, 1944 and was in England, until going into action in France the latter part of July.

Private Gilchrist has been awarded the Purple Heart.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Gilchrist, 1802 Bellevue Avenue.
