Private Ralph C. Hanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe E. Hanson, 110 Elm Street, has arrived somewhere in England, according to word received by his parents.
He entered the service on May 17, 1943 and received his training at Camp Stewart, GA and Fort Jackson, SC.
He is with an Infantry division.

Private First Class Ralph C. Hanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe E. Hanson, 110 Elm Street, was killed in action on April 9 somewhere in Germany.
Private First Class Hanson was inducted on May 17, 1943 and went overseas in October 1944. He was serving in the 87th Infantry Division with General Patton's Third Army in Germany. He and other members of his company received the Silver Star for meritorious service in combat recently.
He trained in this country at Camp Stewart, GA and Fort Jackson, SC.
Private First Class Hanson attended Eau Claire High School and was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Besides his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Seaman Second Class James Erving Hanson, who is attending radio school in Bainbridge, MD; Howard and Roger, at home.
