|Edward Harrington Is Graduated from Marine Radio School|
|U. S. NAVAL AIR STATION, JACKSONVILLE, FL March 16—Edward Stephen Harrington, Eau Claire, WI recently graduated from
the Aviation Radio School, here, as an honor student and Corporal in the
U.S. Marine Corps.
Entering the service on July 8, 1943, he received his recruit training at San Diego, CA, before arriving at the Naval Air Technical Training Center here.
Corporal Harrington is now a qualified Aviation Radioman and will probably see service with a Marine Aviation Detachment.
|Marine Corporal Gets High Rating at Gunnery School|
NAVAL AIR STATION, Jacksonville, FL—Radioman-Gunner Edward S.
Harrington, Corporal, USMCR, of Eau Claire, WI, received the personal
commendation of his commanding officer recently, when he graduated with
honor grades from a course in aerial gunner's training here.
The 29-year-old Marine Corporal previously completed a course of instruction at an Aviation Radio School at Jacksonville. His next step at a Naval Air Operational Training Command Station will complete Harrington's training, combining both radio and gunnery to make him a Marine Air Crewman and member of an Air Combat Team.
Son of Stephen L. Harrington, 516 Erin Street, Eau Claire, the Wisconsin youth was presented his graduation certificate by Commander E. E. Dolecek, Commanding Officer of the Gunners School. Commander Dolecek praised the ten honor students, including Harrington, for their excellent records in classroom studies and demonstrations of marksmanship with aerial weapons at the machine gun range.
