Kenneth M. Hawkins

Private First Class Kenneth M. Hawkins has arrived safely at his destination in the Hawaiian Islands, according to word received by is wife.

He is serving with the Army Engineers and received his training at Camp Wheeler, GA; Fort Meade, MD; Camp Carrabelle, FL; and Camp Livingston, LA.

Mr. and Mrs. Gust Rugotzke of Eau Claire announce the marriage of their granddaughter, Patricia, to Private First Class Kenneth Hawkins, Route 1, Eau Claire.

The wedding took place on Monday, September 6, at St. John's Lutheran Church. The Reverend George H. Vollmer performed the ceremony.

The bride wore a two-piece wool dress of soldier blue with soldier blue and brown accessories. Her corsage was of white roses and white gladiolus.

Her aunt, Mrs. Marvin Randen, was her attendant and wore a dress of soldier blue crepe with navy blue accessories. Her corsage was of pink roses. The groom was attended by Marvin Randen.

After the ceremony, a wedding supper was served for the immediate relatives at the home of the groom's parents. A five-tier wedding cake served as centerpiece for the table.

After a short trip, the groom returned to his post at Camp Livingston, LA.
