James R. Hazelton

BASIC TRAINING
Aviation Cadet James R. Hazelton, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Hazelton, 1223 South Dewey Street, Eau Claire, is enrolled in the class of cadets currently taking basic flight instruction at the Independence Army Air Field, KS. A member of the newly-arrived cadet class, he has successfully completed both the pre-flight and primary phases of the Aviation Cadet Training Program.

AT PAMPA FIELD
Lieutenant James R. Hazelton, son of Mrs. Esther C. Hazelton, 1233 South Dewey Street, has reported to the Twin-Engine Advanced Flying School of the Army Air Forces Central Flying Training Command and is assigned to duty as a pilot in training. He entered the service on March 27, 1943 and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant on May 23, 1944.

Liberator Bomber Training Completed
Second Lieutenant James Hazelton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Gerald Hazelton, 1223 South Dewey Street, Eau Claire, is completing his training on a Liberator Bomber at the Pueblo Army Air Base, Pueblo, CO. He is the Commander of his crew and is being fitted as an essential member of a combat team that will soon fly into enemy territory.

His instruction at Pueblo culminates many months of intensive training in the U. S. Army Air Forces. He entered the service in March 1943.


ON LEAVE
Lieutenant James Hazelton, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Hazelton, 1223 South Dewey Street, arrived Monday from Pueblo, CO Army Air Corps Training Center to spend a 10-day leave. He will return to Pueblo for continued training at the end of his leave. Lieutenant Hazelton has been in service two years.
