Radio Announcer slightly Wounded on Austrian Front
Corporal Robert L. Heunisch was slightly wounded in Austria, April 30, according to word received by his wife.

Corporal Heunisch was Bob Allen of WEAU, before entering the service.

At present, he is a patient at a hospital in France. He was hit on both hands and is making normal progress, according to reports received here.

He went into the service in March 1943 and served in the Air Corps, until January of this year. He then was transferred to the Infantry and received his training at Camp Howze, TX. From there, he went to Fort Meade and then overseas.

Robert Heunsch (formerly Bob Allen of WEAU) has received the Purple Heart Award for wounds received in Germany on April 29, according to word received by his wife who resides at 760 First Avenue.
