|He served from 1942 to 1945. He and his men built the air
strip that was used by the Japanese to land on when they were on their
way to the surrender.
He has pictures of the Japanese plane there at the air strip in Iashima (spelling may be wrong).
He is now living in an assisted living facility here in Eau Claire.....Grace Willowbrook.
