Earl E. Huse

Staff Sergeant Earl E. Huse, who recently was transferred to overseas duty with the 20th Air Force, has arrived at his station somewhere in the South Pacific, according to word received by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Huse of 817 Sixth Avenue, Eau Claire.

Staff Sergeant Huse enlisted in the Army Air Corps on January 15, 1942 and received his basic training at Jefferson Barracks, MO. He was then transferred to Chanute Field, IL, where he was trained to be an airplane mechanic. He received additional training at Moody Field, GA; Boeing Aircraft Corps at Seattle, WA, where he trained as Flight Engineer.

Staff Sergeant Huse received his wings at Lowry Field, Denver, CO and completed his training at Harvard, NE.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Huse, 305 South Ninth Street.
