Now in Hospital In Pacific Zone
PVT. KENNETH ISAACSON
Private Kenneth Isaacson, brother of Mrs. Orville Riphenburg, 513 Long Street, is in the hospital, according to word received by his sister.

He is with an Infantry division that is serving in the Pacific area and has been in combat on Anguar and Pelican Islands.

In the Army for the past six years, he received training at Fort Snelling, MN; Fort Leavenworth, KS; Camp Rucker, AL; San Luis Obispo, CA.

Private Kenneth Isaacson was wounded in action on the island of Peleliu on September 25, according to a telegram from the war department to sister, Mrs. Orville Riphenburg, 513 Long Street. The telegram related that she would be advised as reports of his condition are received.

Peleliu is in the Marianas Group and was taken by the Americans after the successful invasion of Saipan.

Private Isaacson entered the service January 6, 1938. He went overseas with an Infantry unit last June.
