|PVT. ARTHUR JOHNSON
Private Arthur W. Johnson, whose wife resides at 403 Starr Avenue, arrived in India in October 1944. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Art Johnson, 531 Fall Street, and is a mechanic in the Air Corps.
He enlisted in the Air Corps in September 1943 and had his basic training at Miami Beach, FL. From there, he was sent to Technical School at Seymour-Johnson Field, Goldsboro, NC; and then to Keesler Field Technical School at Biloxi, MS.
He graduated as an Airplane Mechanic in June 1944 and was sent to advanced mechanical training at Camp Curtissair, Buffalo, NY and, after graduation in August, was sent overseas.
