Jerome R. Johnson

Technical Sergeant and Mrs. D. W. Johnson returned to Oklahoma City Sunday morning, after spending a 14-day furlough with Sergeant Johnson's mother and brothers, Market Street. 

A brother, Jerome, leaves for service on March 23 to begin "boot" training in the Navy.

Jerome R. Johnson, Fireman First Class, United States Navy, returned to Great Lakes and, thence, to Norfolk, VA, after spending his "boot" leave from May 8 to 17 at the home of his mother, 710 Market Street.

Jerome R. Johnson has been promoted from Fireman First Class to Motor Machinist's Mate Third Class. He is serving on a LST with the Naval Amphibians and took part in the invasion of the Philippines.

His brother, Technical Sergeant D. W. Johnson, United States Army Air Forces, is with the personnel staff at Will Rogers Field, Oklahoma City, OK.

Their mother and brother, Ronald, reside at 710 Market Street.

Jerome Johnson received his training at Great Lakes; Camp Bradford, IL; New Orleans, LA; and in the Hawaiian Islands.
