word received by their mother.
Warren, serving on the Pacific, entered the service on September 5, 1942 and received his training at the Great Lakes Naval Training Station, Great Lakes, IL.
Orville, serving on the Atlantic, entered the Navy on July 31, 1942 and also received his training at Great Lakes.

Two older brothers are serving with the Navy—Warren, Seaman First Class, somewhere in the Pacific; and Orville, Ship Fitter Second Class, in the Atlantic.
