|CPL. WILLIE JOHNSON
Corporal Willie Johnson, United States Marine Corps, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Johnson, Whitehall, has been in the South Pacific since October 1942.
He took part in the Battle of Tarawa, coming through uninjured, and is now in Hawaii at a rest camp.
Corporal Johnson and Private First Class Nehring went overseas together and were serving in the same Light Tank Company.
