|Five Eau Claire Youths Join Navy|
|The Chippewa Falls Recruiting Office added five more Eau
Claire names to the list of young men enlisted in the Navy during the
recent Navy Day Recruiting Program. Those not previously announced were
Ardell M. Martin, 606 Third Street; Donald Kasat, 770 1/2 First
Andrew LaPlaca, Eddy Lane; Robert D. Ehrhard, 944 Chauncey Street; and
Harvey Kohls, 320 Whipple Street.
During the recent Navy Day Drive, ten young men from the Eau Claire area were enlisted in the Navy, said R. W. Shuey, Recruiter in Charge of the Chippewa Falls office. It is imperative that enlistments of young men, 17 years of age, continue, Shuey said, not only during special drives, such as Navy Day, but every day.
The Navy offers a training which will be invaluable in post-war life, Shuey said. The Navy Recruiting Office in Eau Claire is open every [**data missing**]
Donald J. Kasat, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kasat, 770 1/2 First Avenue, is receiving his initial Naval indoctrination at the U.S. Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL.

Donald Kasat, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kasat, 770 1/2 First Avenue, left November 28 for Great Lakes Naval Training Station, where he is now in boot camp.

Seaman Second Class Donald J. Kasat, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kasat, has arrived in the South Pacific Theater of Operations.
He entered the Navy last November and took his boot training at Great Lakes, IL.
