Lynn Kingsley

Letters have been received by Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kingsley of Menomonie from their son, Flight Officer Lynn Kingsley, who has arrived overseas at the Marianna Islands.

He enlisted in the Air Corps, leaving on November 3, 1941, for Jefferson Barracks, MO.

After his training at Chanute Field, he graduated as an instructor of instruments and was sent to Goldsboro, NC. While there, he enlisted with the Air Cadets and began his training at the University of Minnesota.

From there, he was sent to Santa Ana, to Dos Palos, and to Mercel in California and then to Marfa, Texas, where he received his wings.

He was graduated from Hobbs, New Mexico as a First Pilot on a B-17 and appointed a Flight Officer. He was given further training as a co-pilot on a B-29 at Alamorgodo, New Mexico.

He left for overseas about March 24.
