|GILBERT G. KIRCHOFF
Mr. and Mrs. Dick Kirchoff, Route 3, Eau Claire, have received word from the War Department that their son, Private First Class Gilbert G. Kirchoff, was wounded on March 16, "somewhere in France."
Later, word was received that he had been wounded in the shoulder and that he was getting along nicely.
Private First Class Kirchoff entered the service on October 8, 1942, receiving his training at Fort Francis E. Warren, Cheyenne, WY; Fort Crook, NE; Greenville, LA; and Newport News, VA; and going overseas in April 1943.
He has seen action in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, and France.
