|PVT. EDWARD KLAVETTER
Private Edward O. Klavetter, son of Mrs. Bertha Klavetter, Route 1, Fall Creek, has arrived safely somewhere in North Africa, according to word received here.
He received his basic training at Camp Shelby, MS; Fort Dix, NJ; and various parts of California.
He has a brother, Sergeant Howard Klavetter, also overseas, stationed somewhere in North Ireland.
Infantrymen Wounded in France
His brother, Private First Class Edward O. Klavetter, was wounded on May 12 in Italy.
Private First Class Edward O. Klavetter, son of Mrs. Bertha Klavetter of Augusta, has received the Good Conduct Medal and the Infantry Combat Badge at an overseas station, where he has been serving for the past 14 months in the 339th Infantry of the 85 Custer Division in the Fifth Army in Italy.
His brother, Staff Sergeant Howard B. Klavetter, who has been overseas for three years, at present, is in France.
Both brothers have received the Purple Heart Award for wounds received in action.
