|PFC. MELLORD KLOMSTEN
Private First Class Melfred Klomsten, who returned April 20 from Oran, North Africa, is spending a 45-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Klomsten and other relatives and friends at Pigeon Falls.
Private First Class Klomsten entered service on January 9, 1942 and trained at the following places in Texas: Camp Wallace, Camp Hulen, and Fort Bliss.
He left for overseas on November 8, 1942 from Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He took part in the invasion of Africa and, last February, was sent to Italy.
At the end of his furlough, he will report to Fort Sheridan, IL.
