Clarence Kluge

Sergeant Clarence Kluge, son of Mrs. Edward O. Wold, 803 Porter Avenue, has just spent a furlough of 15 days at his home here. 

Sergeant Kluge serves with the Air Transport Command in Alaska. He enlisted in the Air Corps on December 10, 1942 and received his training at Miami, FL and Memphis, TN before going to Alaska eleven months ago. This is his first furlough since entering the service. 

His brother, Arthur Kluge, has enlisted in the Merchant Marine and is receiving his training at the Great Lakes Naval Station.


SGT. CLARENCE KLUGE
Sergeant Clarence Kluge, son of Mrs. Edward O. Wold, 803 Porter Avenue, enlisted in the Air Corps on December 4, 1942.

He received his basic training at St. Petersburg, Miami; Clear Water, FL; and Memphis, TN.

In May of 1943, he was sent to Alaska, where he served in the Transport Command.

In May of 1944, he spent a 20-day furlough at his home here. He is soon to be transferred to the States to receive further training.

He has a brother, Arthur Kluge, who joined the Merchant Marines on May 27, 1944 and his Marine base is at Detroit, MI.
