Ellsworth L. Knudson

Navy Veteran, Wife Leave for Washington, D. C.
Ellsworth L. Knudson, Musician First Class, recently returned from three years service in the Pacific, serving aboard the famed aircraft carrier Enterprise.

He and his wife have been spending a thirty-day leave with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Erin Knudson, Garden Street, and Mr. and Mrs. Ackley, Superior.

Mrs. Knudson has been in the WAVEs for over two years, serving as Radioman Second Class at the Naval Air Station, Seattle, Washington. She has now been given an honorable discharge from service.

Mr. Knudson entered service on February 26, 1941 and has seen action in 26 battles and wears the Presidential Citation.

The young couple left Monday for Washington, DC, where Mr. Knudson will receive further instruction at the Navy School of Music, before being given shore duty at some naval base in this country.
