|PFC. GEORGE F. KOCHENDORFER
Mrs. Mildred I. Kochendorfer, 725 Forest Street, has been notified by the War Department that her husband, Private First Class George F. Kochendorfer, was killed in action on Luzon, Philippine Islands on February 6. Besides his wife, he leaves three children.
Private First Class Kochendorfer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kochendorfer of Menomonie, entered the service in September 1943 and received his basic training at Camp Blanding, FL.
He had been awarded the Philippine Liberation Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Expert Infantryman Badge.
Before going to the Philippines, he saw service in New Guinea and wore the Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon.
Private First Class Kochendorfer was part owner of the Paramount Cleaners at Menomonie when he entered service.
