MISS JOAN E. KRAUSIEDER
Miss Joan E. Krausieder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Krausieder, 416 Wisconsin Street, Eau Claire, WI, has received her orders to report for active duty in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps on February 10. She will receive her basic training at Fort Oglethorpe, GA.

Miss Krausieder is a graduate of Eau Claire Senior High School, Class of 1939. She has been an active member of the Eau Claire Municipal Band for the past six years and is now employed at the SAF  Building.


Auxiliary Joan Eleanor Krausieder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Krausieder of 416 Wisconsin Street, was recently promoted to Auxiliary First Class and was transferred from Camp Oglethorpe to Richmond, KY, where she will take an administrative course at the East Kentucky State Teachers College.

Joan Krausieder Wins Promotion in WAC Training
SGT. JOAN KRAUSIEDER
First Sergeant Joan E. Krausieder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Krausieder, 416 Wisconsin Street, Eau Claire, has returned to her station at Camp Miles Standish, MA, where she is on duty in the office of the WAC Headquarters.

Sergeant Krausieder entered the service on January 29, 1943 and was sent to Fort Oglethorpe for four weeks of basic training. She was then sent to Eastern State Teachers College in Richmond, KY for six weeks of training in Army Administration work and non-commissioned officer schooling.

She graduated the last week of April and was immediately sent to Camp Miles Standish. There, she was placed in the office of WAC Headquarters as Company Clerk.

Two months later, she was promoted to First Sergeant for her outstanding work.


First Sergeant Joan Krausieder of the WAC left Thursday for Boston, MA, where she is stationed, after spending a 14-day furlough with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Krausieder of 517 Whipple Street.
